What is HKSI LE Paper 1?
LE Paper 1, Fundamentals of Securities and Futures Regulation, is the local regulatory framework paper in the HKSI Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries. It is a requirement for many SFC licence types, including dealing in and advising on securities and futures.
How long is the exam, what is the pass mark and what does it cost?
Paper 1 has 60 multiple-choice questions and lasts 90 minutes. The pass mark is 70%. The exam fee is HK$1,800 at the Hong Kong examination centre and HK$2,250 at the global examination centres.
Is FinLisans for HKSI LE Paper 1 available yet?

How soon do I get my result?
You can see your grade (PASS, FAIL or ABSENT) in the exam system right after your session. The Notification of Results and Performance Analysis is available from the HKSI Online Portal about two hours later.
What does it cost to join the waitlist?

Is FinLisans affiliated with HKSI or the SFC?
No. FinLisans is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HKSI or the SFC. HKSI also states that it has not authorised any third party to offer LE revision tools.
